On Saturday, May 18, Rotary Clubs in ten states and several foreign countries will join in an annual Day of Service event to add to the service which they provide throughout the year. As a part of this effort, the Rotary Club of North Rockland will host a dinner dance for developmentally delayed residents of group homes in the Rockland County from 6 pm to 8pm at the West Haverstraw Community Center. The evening will feature a DJ playing dance music, and a dinner served by Rotarian volunteers. Admission is by invitation only.
The event is intended to provide an evening of fun and entertainment for our guests. We sometimes forget that developmentally delayed people, like everyone else, can use a break from the daily routine and a special event to look forward to.
